Conferences and Related Activities

APSCE

Organized the International Conference on Computers in Education (ICCE) in 1993. Since then the conference has been the most important regional conference in Asia: Singapore (95, 05), Malaysia (97), China (98), Japan (99), Taiwan (00), Korea (01), New Zealand (02), Hong Kong (03), Australia (04). Asia-Pacific Chapter of AACE was established to monitor the conference and in 2004, an independent society was established (http://www.apsce.net) and in 2005 established a new journal Technology Enhanced Learning: Research and Practice.

GCSCE

Co-founded the Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) and established the Global Chinese Society on Computers in Education. The medium of the conference is Chinese and the conference has been held in Guang Chou (97), Hong Kong (98, 04), Macau (99), Singapore (00), Taiwan (01), Beijing (02), Nanjing (03) and Hawaii (05). There are 300 to 400 participants each year. See http://www.gcsce.org.

WMTE

Hosted the IEEE International Workshop of Wireless and Mobile Technologies in Education (WMTE), 2004, March. See http://lttf.ieee.org.

CSCL

Hosting Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL2005). See http://www.cscl2005.org.

ITS

Going to host International Conference on Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS2006).
